Oh gosh, that's a lot of years ago to try to recall my first craft project. I am willing to bet it was something using popsicle sticks in Brownies or Girl Scouts.

I think the first sewing project I ever made was a skirt made from patchwork pieces with an elastic waist. I can't wait to sew with my granddaughter!
I can't remember the first project I made, but I remember my mom teaching me to crosstitch and I would work on projects while we were camping. Also, I never could get crocheting down until I was in my 30's and my mom showed me again and that time it clicked. So, I learned to keep trying and learning new things. Thanks for the giveaway.

Well, I've been crafting since I was a little girl and I don't remember the very first craft I did. I do remember making gingerbread houses out of graham crackers when I was in first grade!
This looks like a great book! I have been crafting so long I don't remember my first project. I remember the first project that I did when I got my first sewing machine and was crafting without help. It was a denim patchwork quilt.

Hi Carmen! My first project was probably the potholders woven on the plastic loom, too. Soon after, my Grammy taught me some simple crewel work. At 8 I made my first crochet project, a granny square afghan in atrocious 70's colors. But I was so proud of that blanket! This looks like a really great book!

I am 59 yrs. old and I was in the Brownies. I remember our first craft project making slippers. Only these were made with newspaper for people in the hospital or veteran homes. The newspaper slippers were adult size. I don't know how they walked in them, but at least they were recyclable.
My first craft was making a tree skirt for my girls first Christmas tree in their bedroom! Came out great and they still use it 8 years later!!!

My first craft was made with love for my family at Easter. Back them we had little money. But wanted to do something special for my family. I made material Easter eggs. You pushed strips of material in the Styrofoam egg and used all kinds of material. Also covered a box to look like a basket even a handle. Everyone love them. Then I got hooked on doing craft for my family. As the kids got older (3 or 4) they started making home made gift for the family. Everyone looked forward to there gifts from our family.

My very first project was a sewing project...I had earlier been at my Mother's feet while she repaired tears by hand and I begged for needle, thread and scraps....fast forward 8 years and I was 11...we went to the department store, Woolworth and got some material...it was a pretty Hawaiian print...we picked out a MuMu pattern and it was easy, no zippers, just an easy dress that I wore all of the time...so proud that I created it...I love to sew and I love all sorts of crafts!

Well I don't really remember what my very first craft projet was, but I remember a few from WAY back. We made a quilt square in school and sewed it into a potholder for our parents for Christmas. This book looks great, I'd love to win.

Mt first project was taught to me by my great grandmother...A yo yo doll! It was a lot of fun, in fact, I didn't stop with that, I made other fun things of of yo yo's. The best part of it all was spending that time with my great grandma...What patience she had with me! Great memories to treasure!

First??? My mother started me sewing by hand when I was 3 (1949)... the first thing that gave me a 'this is KOOL! was when I was in high school. I sprayed everything white or gold. I was given a desk set that was painted like a globe - NOT elegant! So I started spraying gold, ran out of paint, bought another - and it had a chemical reaction - orange peel blisters all over. I loved it - and, 50 years later, I'm still using it!

It has to be shape pillows with arms & legs. I hand embroidered smiles and eyes. My mother helped me sew them I must have been about 10 years old.
